PostHeaderIcon is there a way to pay less for car insurance?

i’m planning to buy a car next year.
it will cost around 11000 and i’m planning to downpay 5000.
so 6000 left.
and my dad wants to pay that 6000 with his credit card so he can put the car under liability instead of full coverage.
our family has 2 cars each under my parents’ names.
so what is the best way to lower the insurance for me
i’m 21 yrs old guy no accidents or tickets.
our insurance company said it would be about 1600/yr for me..
is that average?
is there a way to lower the insurance?

PostHeaderIcon What car insurance companies aren't too financially cruel to teenagers?

I’m going to be 18 soon and my parents have told me they’d like me to find my own car insurance rather than being on theirs. I’ve been driving for 9 months and I haven’t gotten any tickets or been in any accidents, and I’ll get that good-student discount where available. But what insurance companies do you recommend that won’t absolutely kill my part-time paycheck?

Thanks!
Good point about what my parents are required to do, but I won’t be living in their household anymore, so they won’t be required to include me on the insurance.

PostHeaderIcon How much can you lie while obtaining new auto insurance?

I’d like to know… Whenever you’re trying to obtain new auto insurance they take your driver’s license number & social security number.. You’d think that they could look up any tickets/accidents you’ve gotten into. BUT, why do they ask?

If you "forget" an incident, will they find out?

This is coming from a 21 year old who was already paying ,200 over 6 months for insurance and was involved in an rear-end collision doing 15 in congestion on the interstate, now my premium is 00 for 6 months.

PostHeaderIcon Why does my auto insurance keep going up?

My auto insurance premium seems to keep increasing. I drive a 2001 Nissan Altima and I’m paying over 0 a month. I have no accidents or speeding tickets on my record. My friend has a 2007 Pontiac G5 and he is paying 0. We use the same insurance company. This makes no sense to me. What seems to be happening?
I might also add that I live in Massachusetts and because we like to set ourselves apart from the rest of the nation, the state, rather than the insurance companies regulate the rates.

PostHeaderIcon Is it normal for auto insurance cost to go up every renewal?

My auto insurance is renewed every 6 months and the price keeps going up between -. There have been no changes to my policy, I have had no accidents or tickets.

PostHeaderIcon Car Insurance?

I’m 21 and needless to say full coverage insurance on a male is ridiculous. Allstate want to charge me 0 for coverage on a Sentra!!! I know it’s based on stats with young male drivers being in more accidents or speeding or whatever, but I also know different things like being married helps bring it down. I own my own small business and wondering if anyone knew if that would bring down my insurance.

The reason for me asking is because when I rent a car at Enterprise there is an extra premium for renters under 25(like a male’s insurance dropping at the age of 25), but since I have my own business they allow me to rent it at regular price.

Perhaps owning a business shows more responsibility like being married does and lower insurance rates.

*Side notes
-The car wouldn’t be "business" car its still a personal car(but I mainly need it to go to work and school with a little business travel)
-I have been driving for 6yrs without any accidents, tickets, and continuously insured.
0/month is more than the car note!!
