I am 19 and my grandparents are letting me borrow the car to get to work for the next couple of months. They have insurance, but they don’t want to add me on because they think if i get into a car accident their insurance rate will sky rocket. So I got non-owners car insurance from Mercury but apparently that JUST covers the liability and not the car damages. What can I do in this case? Is there an insurance I can get that covers just damages?

I’m a 18 year old college student just got my license but i don’t know what kind of car insurance to get.

Is it possible for a canadian citizen to buy car insurance in america, if so, how does he do that? My brother lives in america and I live in canada, I want to get car insurance from America as it is cheaper. Is that possible and is it legal?

My boyfriend (he’s 39 years-old) still uses his parents home address for his car insurance even though he has lived in the neighboring state for the past 12 years. He just recently was involved in an accident (not his fault) and he’s freaked out that the insurance company is going to find out. How would the insurance company go about investigating this to find out?

Just in case the laws are different, i was wondering if i had to be on my moms car insurance in order to take my drivers test and get my license, or if i just need to show proof that the car itself is insured. Im hearing many different things from many different people, and i dont see anything on the DMV website. Thank you.

I just lost 4 points. I dont know much about the points system. How will it affect my car insurance when it’s renewed? I am in NJ, if that makes difference. Thanks.
