My boyfriend (he’s 39 years-old) still uses his parents home address for his car insurance even though he has lived in the neighboring state for the past 12 years. He just recently was involved in an accident (not his fault) and he’s freaked out that the insurance company is going to find out. How would the insurance company go about investigating this to find out?

I was in a bus accident a while ago and my parents are filing under no fault. Will the insurance go up despite the fact our car wasn’t involved?
Oh and if it does by what percentage?

I am getting of my parents car insurance and i am shopping around for a good quote. I called one person who needed to run my credit. Is every company going to want to run my credit? I don’t want my scores to go down.

I’m looking to put a down payment on a used car but I need to know how does putting insurance on it work? I never had my own insurance this will be my first car I get on my own, I will not be under my parents insurance or anything like that it will be completely brand new.

How much does it cost to get my first car insurance under my parents insurance living in NV, USA? Also:
I’m 18 yrs old,
Just got my driver’s license,
White male Caucasian,
Drive a black 1996 Honda Civic,
been in no accidents,
got good grades from High School,
had no bad records in general,
I live in a safe area, but will drive about 80 miles a week .

My parents own a car that they’re letting me use for school. I live in southern California, but I attend school in Northern California. I’ll be bringing the car up for normal use during the school year, and it will be garaged there except during summer. Do I need to buy my own car insurance, or will it work out if I just get added to my parent’s insurance?
